"How to Die Right"
Genesis 49:28-33
Jacob is nearing his exit from life and his entrance into life eternal. Around him are 12 men who have heard their father's last charge and command to them. As the words pass from Jacob's mouth to these son's attentive ears, some are thrilled with his praise and some are disappointed with his reproof. But 3 things are evident in our text concerning Jacob and How to Die Right.
1. He was not Alone, he was Surrounded. (vs. 28,29)
2. He was not Ambiguos, he was Sure. (vs. 30-32)
3. He was not Afraid, he was Secure. (vs. 33)
Ending right will ultimately depend on how we begin. Dying with the peace of God can only come by accepting the provision of God that He made for all man when His lovely Son, the Lord Jesus Christ died for man's sin. Jacob could now rest in the Lord because he had trusted in the Lord. I'm glad it will Do while we are living and it will Do when we die!!
